We decided to use Starfish after a recommendation from our midwife and we would throughly recommend too. Caz answered all my questions and bright around all equipment you would ever need.

I was recommended Starfish Doula by my midwife as soon as I decided I wanted a Homebirth. Caz came when I was 37 weeks and explained thoroughly how to set up the pool, what was included in each box etc as well as any questions we had (mainly my husband!) The process was so easy in terms of inflating and deflating the pool! Instructions were included on both boxes to refer to as well. It was such a seamless process and Caz picked the pool up a couple days after. I would recommend a Homebirth and Caz’s pool hire to anybody! Thanks again xx

I was really pleased with how easy it was to choose birth pool size and booking dates online, the website also lets you know availability and cost (including delivery) when booking. When the pool arrived I was impressed with the amount of extras that came along with it, such as thermometer, bucket and waterproof mats, not just the filling and emptying equipment. The only thing I had to add were my own towels to ensure I had a complete kit for birthing at home, making it completely stress free and saving me from sourcing these myself at the end of my pregnancy. During the drop off appointment, Caz instantly made us feel comfortable and at ease, going through step by step instructions for the pool and answering any questions we had, she’s incredibly knowledgeable, encouraging and makes it a personal service when you hire from her. Nothing is too much trouble. We didn’t need to get in touch for any troubleshooting but you are given plenty of information and contact details for if you’re having any pool issues during use. I did go overdue in my pregnancy but this, again, wasn’t an issue due the long hire period you get with the pool. I’m so happy with the service I received, it allowed me to have an incredible birth experience at home and I wouldn’t hesitate to use Starfish Doula again. Thank you so much.

My experience of using Starfish Doula was incredible! I would recommend contacting early to avoid disappointment however I only got in touch when I was 37 weeks pregnant and Caz very promptly arranged delivery of the pool. Everything you need is included in the hire of the pool and is carefully organised with clear instructions. Although I only hired the pool Caz also offers her services as a doula and it was clear to me on our short meeting that she would be an incredible support and advocate. This was our 3rd water birth but first home birth. We hired the larger pool which is great for moving about in. It felt much nicer than the rigid pool I was used to from my previous hospital water births as you can rest your head against the cushioned sides. The setting up of the pool gave my partner something to do in the earlier stages of labour which I think enabled him to remain calm during the process. We actually had a very quick labour and our little boy arrived before the midwives were able to get to us. I definitely feel the calming affect of the pool and the ease of the set up helped my labour to progress smoothly. The clearing away process was just as simple as the set up as you have everything you need within the kit with very clear instructions again. Caz arranged a convenient pick up shortly after our birth. I would highly recommend especially if this is your first time hiring a pool at home like us.

Absolutely amazing experience! Caz talked us through the full pool set up on drop off which was really easy to put up on the day of labour. 100% recommend a home birth and also hiring a pool from Caz - we was pretty nervous about the whole home birth but Caz reassured us and answered all questions asked. We had a fantastic experience with Starfish Doula. We hired a mini pool as we only have a small home, and the pool was still plenty big enough! Caz came and delivered the pool at exactly 37 weeks and made sure my husband was confident with how to set it up, talking us through the instructions but also having great sets of instructions for how to put up and take down written on the boxes - this did in fact come in handy when I ended up having to go to the hospital so my dad came over and took the pool down, all from reading these detailed instructions! Can promptly came and picked up the pool once I’d messaged to say we’d had our baby, and was so kind and supportive both on drop off and pick up. Thank you so much - I had a lovely experience at home whilst I was there and much of that was to do with having the pool!! Will definitely use again if we have any more children!

Just brilliant. The service Caz gave was amazing. I'd left things a little last minute but Caz was able to accommodate me and whilst I didn't get my successful home birth the pool was invaluable! Would definitely recommend Starfish for pool hire, the knowledge alone would help any expectant parents wanting a home birth.

Perfect service from start to finish this lady know her stuff!! We hired a birthing pool for our first baby and it was perfect. The quality of the equipment and the extra touches made everything perfect. So much information was provided for assembly and dissembling the pool. She always kept in contact and return the pool was straightforward. We sadly damaged the lining due to our cat thinking he could play with the pool when we’d finished but despite the damage it was dealt with smoothly and we simply paid for new one hassle free. If you live in the Bradford area and are thinking of a home birth you need this service! Thank you

Great experience hiring a birthing pool from Starfish Doula. Comes with everything you need and anything you don't use is refunded afterwards which is a bonus. Caz drops off the pool and spends time with you giving detailed explanations about how to use everything. It was quickly collected again when we had finished with it. Would recommend to anyone planning a waterbirth at home.

I can't recommend this service enough the pool helped me to dilate at home without any pain relief to 10cm. The lady who delivers the pool is so lovely and drops of and picks up at a good time for yourself. I would definately choose again if I decide to have another.

Hired a birthing pool for a home birth. It was delivered by Caz when I was 37 weeks. She explained everything we needed to do to set it up and everything was included. It was easy to use and when we were finished, we just needed to text her and let her know and she came and picked it up. Very easy and we had a lovely home birth. It was good value for money and anything we didn't use, we were refunded. Excellent service 🙂

Caz is so helpful and informative. She spent time making sure we felt comfortable with how to use the birth pool - this was essential as baby came very quickly in the middle of the night! Would highly recommend Caz to anyone thinking about having a water birth at home.

Fabulous service from start to finish! We were worried and sceptical about renting a pool, and being able to assemble and fill it ourselves, however everything comes highly organised and Caz takes the time to come to your home and walk you through everything beforehand. It was really easy!

Fantastic birth pool service. I initially looked into a ‘national’ hire company but I’m so glad I found Caz and her much more local service in Bradford. She dropped off the pool and all the necessary kit and spent the time in person to explain everything and answer any questions. She also provided detailed written instructions for a reminder on the day. This made me feel so much more prepared and comfortable. We hired a mini pool which was more than big enough for me. It played a huge part in my perfect home birth and I’m so glad we chose to hire through Starfish Doula. After the birth Caz collected the pool promptly. starfish doula was amazing from start to finnish. I suffered with spd and was told that a birthing pool would help labour majorly. starfish doula fit us in with just days notice. and then came to explain what needed to be done from start to finnish and explained it all in great detail. if I ever got pregnant again I would definitely hire again from her. absolutely amazing service thankyou. made my whole homebirthing experience a total game changer x x

One of the friendliest, most informative women I’ve ever met! She was an absolute pleasure to deal with even though I ended up having to go to hospital and didn’t use the equipment. She explained it all so clearly and instilled confidence in my regarding the whole process. Would definitely consider using her as a full time doula for future pregnancies if money was better as she truly is a fountain of knowledge and such a supportive woman. Was a pleasure to meet her and would recommend any one to use her and her services!

I contacted Starfish Doula quite late in my pregnancy around 30 weeks, and I received a reply straight away reassuring me that a pool would be sourced. I hired a mini pool which was plenty big enough for me, it filled the centre of the living room with space to walk around. The kit was brilliant, and the delivery along with a thorough explanation of how to use was also brilliant. Offering a prompt pick up if the pool after use was also a blessing. Personally, the pool made my homebirth. I was starting to really struggle and as soon as I entered the pool I felt weightless and able to properly relax between contractions. Thankyou so much for offering this amazing thing around Bradford! Should I choose to have another baby, I will definitely be in touch.

We hired our birth pool from Caz which was very reasonably priced and she was amazing from start to finish. When enquiring she replied very swiftly and gave us all the information we needed. She came and delivered the birth pool at 37 weeks and explained how everything worked and was extremely friendly. The birth pool came with everything we would need along with very clear instructions and we also got a free cord tie for our little one. We had the perfect home birth where we welcomed a very healthy 10lb 2 baby boy. I contacted Caz the day after and she came and collected the pool a few days later. She was so thrilled for us that we had achieved our perfect home birth and we couldn’t be happier with the service she provided. Thank you so much Caz.

I used Starfish Doula to hire a birthing pool and tens machine. The service was amazing from start to finish. Caz came to our home to drop off the pool and spent close to an hour talking us through it all and answering all our endless questions. This service was invaluable as other services are typically delivered by DPD style drivers and you’re left to fend for yourself! After the birth (in which I used the pool!), we had a question regarding an item we were unsure if we needed to return after the birth or not, so we were able to call Caz and find out. The availability of Caz to answer questions and the personalised service took so much stress out of the process. The pool was picked up the next day at our request, which meant we had our house back to normal as soon as possible! All the equipment was absolutely first class. Would hire again if the need ever arises!

Fantastic service. This was our second birth after a poor first birth in hospital i wanted a homebirth. Caz was great, explained everything we needed to know for putting up the pool and how to use the tens machine. Would recommend using the tens machine, it was a great help!

I would 100% recommend starfish doula for pool & TENS hire. Both helped me have the homebirth I wanted. Really good service from Caz and super prompt collection once we told her we had finished with it. Loved the free cord tie, so much more pleasant than having a big plastic cord clamp digging in her tummy.
